British entrepreneurs Howe, Symington, and Jackman have the answer for that with their startup, Escape the City.
According to its founders, Escape the City is a community for corporate professionals who want to do something different. The startup’s ?mission ?is to ?help ?talented ?people ?escape ?from ?unful?lling ?corporate ?jobs because they believe there is more to life than doing work that doesn’t matter to you.
Escape the City’s website went life on March 6, 2010 and is an online community based around answering the question “How do I leave my corporate job and find an occupation that makes me tick?”. As of 06/14/11 there are 162 opportunities that are classified among common factors such as industry, function, location, level, salary and term. However, the platform adds an “Esc Factor” that can fall under entrepreneurial venture, escape to the countryside, exotic location, interesting and exciting work, and positive world impact.
