Getting Paid for Social Networking?
There’s nothing wrong in making money – but who would have thought that you could make money from talking to your friends? Social networking is in essence talking to your online friends, sharing ideas and news with them, exchanging photos, etc – just like in real life but without meeting each other in person.
And that’s where the most interesting part comes: you can socialize and earn money: and below I am listing the three possible schemes..
Earn money by simply participating:
Online social media market is over-saturated, some networks are ready to pay you for joining and being active: blogging, uploading photos, etc. Yuwie.com is a perfect example of such a network: it’s free to sign up, you can blog, upload pictures, create “clubs” (something similar to Facebook’s groups), and you’re paid by the number of monthly page views you generate.
What’s more, Yumie gives you credit for referring your friends (with 10-tier structure – yep, sounds much like pyramid scheme). Thus, you can actually earn from your friends (by having them join and invite their own friends).
Earn money by being useful:
This scheme makes more sense to me: you get paid for doing something useful (not just creating the illusion of activity). For example, Buxr.com is an online social network for bargain hunters and it pays money for sharing the most popular and useful deals.
This works as a contest: you share a deal and if it is approved by moderators and gets many votes – you are paid $10. You can be paid daily – if you continue sharing best deals.
Earn money by doing your job well
This one is not actually about getting paid for simply participating – you earn money by doing your work and get paid for sharing its results. GradeFund is a good example of this type: students are paid for their good grades.
It works as follows: create an account, invite your friends and family to be sponsors, upload your academic transcript at the end of each semester and once Gradefund verifies it, you’ll get paid.
