Monster Acquires Yahoo HotJobs for a Cool $225 Million
They’re big enough to take out multimillion dollar ads in the Super Bowl, they have cornered the online job search market, and now they’re adding to their awesome portfolio by buying out Yahoo’s HotJobs which ranks second in the online job search market.
The deal was announced today and the money will be paid to the search giant in cold hard cash. Also included in the deal is a 3 year traffic deal between Yahoo and Monster. This would allow Monster to leverage its services over a wider network and possibly reach more people.
All in all, the service is said to help Yahoo free up a lot of its space as well as help it and Monster grow bigger in the job market space as Monster will now be controlling the HotJobs operation from now till whenever.
