Whatever You Do, Don’t Tweet in Anger
I find it to be quite interesting the amount of people who have gotten in trouble over simple things like MySpace Bulletins, Facebook status updates and most recently Tweets. Venting online seems to be the fad of the day as it requires no specific audience and even after everything is over, people can still find out what got the individual so irate.
But there is a little rule of thumb that should be followed when posting anything for the world to see even if your tweets, bulletins or status updates are private. Never tweet in anger. Your boss might have pissed you off but more then naturally there are ways of them finding out what you said about them online.
More importantly before you do anything online to vent your anger, take a few minutes and think about how it will sound an hour or worse a day or two from now. Will you be embarrassed or will it be something you can discuss without any troubles? Think about that twice before doing anything stupid. People have lost jobs, friends, marriages and lives over what they put online. Be careful.
